The Sunday Piano Series welcomes pianist Madeleine Brown to the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall. At 24, Brown has been recognised for her potential to become a significant voice in classical music. Her programme features a selection of Rameau's Suite in G major, introducing the characterful works of the French Baroque master, followed by Ravel's Mirrors, an impressionistic work evoking imagery of moths, birds, boats and distant church bells. The recital concludes with Rachmaninov's Second Sonata in B-flat minor, a substantial work of considerable technical demands that flows as a unified composition.

This informal Sunday Piano Series performance includes an introduction from the stage, with the opportunity to meet the pianist in the bar afterwards.
