Sinfonia Viva

Sinfonia Viva presents a curated programme of British chamber music, featuring works by Holst, Elgar, Finzi, and Coleridge-Taylor. Led by violinist Sophie Rosa with clarinettist Matthew Dunn, the ensemble explores four significant compositions spanning from the Edwardian era through the twentieth century. The programme opens with Holst's St Paul's Suite, moves through Elgar's introspective Elegy, and includes Coleridge-Taylor's Four Novelletten before concluding with Finzi's Five Bagatelles. This performance offers an opportunity to experience accomplished interpretations of chamber works that remain central to the British musical repertoire.
