About this event

The London Philharmonic Orchestra presents an evening of classical masterworks under the baton of conductor Tianyi Lu, featuring acclaimed pianist Paul Lewis. The programme includes two of Dvořák's Slavonic Dances, showcasing rich Bohemian harmonies that blend delicate melodies with energetic passages, alongside Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3, a distinctive work notable for its serene central section framed by spirited outer movements. The concert concludes with Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 'From the New World', a celebrated composition that fuses Slavic traditions with American influences and has captivated audiences since its 1893 premiere. A free pre-concert talk with Tianyi Lu takes place at 6:00pm in the auditorium.
