The Style Council emerged after The Jam's dissolution in 1982, when Weller collaborated with Mick Talbot to create a distinct musical direction. The band's catalogue includes enduring singles such as 'Speak Like a Child', 'Long Hot Summer', 'My Ever Changing Moods', 'You're The Best Thing', and 'Shout To The Top'.
