About this event

Calling all horror fans! Join us for a thrilling panel to celebrate the release of exciting new horror novels with Francesca May (This Vicious Hunger), India-Rose Bower (We Call ThemWitches), and Frances White (The Bone Door).

The authors will discuss their new books before an audience Q&A and book signing.

Francesca May grew up in the middle of England where she spent her childhood devouring fantasy books and brewing potions in her back garden. She currently lives in Derby with three black cats and two elderly rescue dogs. By day she works as a bookseller. By night she accidentally kills every house plant she touches and writes novels about Gothic mansions, witchcraft, and queer love.

Francesca’s debut fantasy novel Wild and Wicked Things was published by Orbit in early 2022. Her latest fantasy novel This Vicious Hunger was released in August 2025.

India-Rose Bower was long-listed for the Discoveries prize, and has several short stories and poems published in magazines and anthologies. Her hobbies are attending pagan festivals and watching horror films, while working as a librarian. India-Rose has a long-term disability and lives with her non-binary partner in Yorkshire.

Frances White is the Sunday Times bestselling author of Voyage of the Damned. A Nottingham resident, Frances is a creative writing graduate from Royal Holloway university of London. She has a soft spot for writing unlikely, flawed and messy heroes and loves mixing humour and heartbreak. Frances is also passionate about bringing more LGBTQIA+ representation and fat positivity into fantasy.
