Ukrainian pianist Olga Zado brings an intimate recital to the Sunday Piano Series, showcasing her distinctive musical voice across three carefully curated works. The programme opens with Bird of the Blue Night, a contemporary piece written for Zado by compatriot Maxim Kolomiiets, designed to build connections across cultures and time periods.

Zado then moves into Chopin's refined Nocturne Op. 15, No. 2, celebrated for its tranquil opening and luminous character, before concluding with Schubert's expansive B-flat Sonata, D. 960. A masterwork of remarkable scope and technique, this late sonata represents the composer's artistic maturity.

The Sunday Piano Series offers an accessible concert experience with informal stage introductions. Audiences are invited to meet the pianist in the bar following the performance.
