Nottingham Youth Orchestra marks four decades of fostering musical talent with a landmark anniversary concert. The programme features classical works including Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Violin Concerto and Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kijé Suite, performed by all four Nottingham Youth Orchestras under the direction of James Lowe, Director of the Spokane Symphony.
Violin soloist Braimah Kanneh-Mason, known for his work with Chineke!, Clean Bandit and the BBC Proms, joins the ensemble for this celebration. The concert opens with pre-concert jazz from NYJO, the Nottingham Youth Jazz Orchestra. Enhanced by live camera feeds and large-screen projection throughout the venue, the production brings audiences closer to the performers. Suitable for all ages.
