Mrs Doubtfire comes to Nottingham Theatre Royal following its successful West End run. The production tells the story of an out-of-work actor who, after losing custody of his children following a divorce, creates the alter ego of a Scottish nanny to remain part of their lives. As the character of Euphegenia Doubtfire develops, the protagonist discovers unexpected lessons about fatherhood and family.
The stage adaptation features new songs, elaborate sets, and choreographed numbers that bring the narrative to life. This theatrical interpretation offers both humour and heart, exploring themes of parenthood and personal growth through its central character's transformation.
