About this event

Matthew Bourne's The Car Man returns to Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall, presenting a contemporary reimagining of Bizet's Carmen. Set in a 1950s American garage-diner, the narrative follows a small town's descent into turmoil following the arrival of a mysterious stranger. Through passionate choreography and a dramatic score by Terry Davies and Rodion Shchedrin, the production explores themes of desire, betrayal and revenge.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Tanisha Addicott, Will Bozier, Ashley Shaw and others, the piece combines New Adventures' distinctive storytelling approach with compelling theatrical design. Tickets from £28.50.
