English Youth Ballet: Swan Lake

English Youth Ballet presents a traditional production of Swan Lake at the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall. The performance features a cast of 95 selected young dancers, with international principal dancers leading the ensemble. Set in the Mariinsky Theatre during the ballet's period of popularity with Russian nobility, the production emphasises the dramatic rivalry between Odile, the Black Swan, and Odette, the White Swan, as both compete for the Prince's affection.
Tickets are priced from £21 to £31.50. English Youth Ballet is also seeking dance students to participate in auditions, train with international professional dancers, and perform in the three scheduled performances. Auditions take place on Monday 20 April at the Royal Concert Hall, with separate sessions for ages 8-11 years and 12-18 years. An audition fee of £20 applies, along with a performance course fee for selected participants.
