The Theatre Royal’s Classic Thriller season lasts through August and features three great plays. The first is Anybody for Murder – a comedy thriller about two couples and a crime writer, who on a Greek Island try and fail to kill each other, with the situation getting sillier and more improbable the further along it gets. After that, there’s The Nightmare Room – a production based on an Arthur Conan Doyle story – and The Mantrap – a thriller about a man confronted by a woman claiming to be his disappeared wife. When it comes to suspenseful and high calibre theatre, there’ll be few opportunities to immerse yourself in it like this.
