Torn Sail returns to perform at the Squire Performing Arts Centre in support of their third studio album, 'Steady Weather', released on Delia Recordings. The concert features the band led by vocalist and guitarist Huw Costin, alongside musicians from Brown Fang and Crazy P.
'Steady Weather' represents a refined evolution of Torn Sail's sound, drawing from space music, jazz-fusion, 1970s West Coast influences, and classical English traditions. The double album explores themes of memory, landscape, and human connection through intricate arrangements and detailed production. Costin's songwriting examines both personal reflection and broader social consciousness, inviting comparisons to Talk Talk, John Martyn, and Trevor Horn's cinematic approach.
The ensemble includes John Thompson on bass, Henry Claude on guitar, Jim Baron on keys and synth, and Jeff Davenport on drums, delivering a performance that showcases the musical depth and collaborative spirit that defines the project.
