This Mothering Sunday, join us at the National Holocaust Museum for a powerful talk exploring the often-overlooked stories of the mothers of the Kindertransport. For every child who found safety in Britain, there was a mother who stayed behind—often making the heartbreaking decision to send her child away alone after Kristallnacht.
Led by our curator, Dr Claudia Reese, the talk will reveal rare and fragile artefacts, including Anni Druckmann’s farewell letter to her daughter.
Following the talk, visitors will have the opportunity to explore The Journey exhibition at their own pace, with the curator on hand to answer questions.
Experience the exhibition in a way it has not been seen before, as Dr Claudia Reese brings out the often-overlooked perspective of the mothers.
