Spafford Campbell is a duo comprising fiddle player Owen Spafford and guitarist Louis Campbell. Having first met as teenagers playing traditional music, the pair began performing live in 2018, developing a distinctive sound characterised by intricate musical dialogue and collaborative improvisation.
Their latest album, Tomorrow Held, presents eight largely instrumental compositions that blend folk, jazz, post-rock and chamber classical influences. The work incorporates effects pedals, ambient cassette loops, electronic processing and impressionistic arrangements, creating a cohesive artistic statement that transcends conventional genre boundaries.
Spafford Campbell performs at The Grove on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 19:00, with support.
