Dean Stockdale Quartet returns to Peggy's Skylight with a programme celebrating the music of Oscar Peterson. The pianist, alongside Tim Williams (guitar), Gavin Barras (double bass), and Gaz Hughes (drums), presents fresh arrangements of classic standards, original compositions, and the swinging interplay that characterises the group's sound.
Since forming in 2022, the quartet has established itself within the UK jazz landscape through successful tours and international performances. Drawing from the American mainstream jazz tradition, Stockdale's work reflects influences including Bill Evans, Mulgrew Miller, and Gene Harris. The afternoon features material from his album Celebrating Oscar alongside pieces from an upcoming release.
Dining begins at 1pm, with the performance running from 2pm to 4pm with interval.
