The Living Map: come and explore a 3D interactive model of Nottingham City

The Living Map offers an interactive exploration of Nottingham City through a innovative 3D printed model at Nottingham Central Library. Developed by the University of Nottingham in collaboration with Nottingham City Council, the model was recognised with the British Cartographic Society's Map of the Year award in 2024.

Dynamic projection brings the model to life, revealing multiple perspectives on the city including its historical, cultural, environmental and urban geographies. Sessions hosted by the University of Nottingham's City as Lab initiative and School of Geography will demonstrate how different data sets and viewpoints can enhance understanding of Nottingham's complex landscape.
