Tom Browne brings his 'Funkin' For Jamaica' 2027 Tour to Metronome, performing alongside The Brit Funk Association. The acclaimed jazz funk and R&B musician travels from the USA to collaborate with this all-star ensemble, which features former members of Beggar & Co, Hi-Tension, Light of the World, and Incognito.
Browne rose to prominence in 1979 and achieved international success with his hit single 'Funkin' For Jamaica', alongside other notable tracks including 'Thighs High (Grip Your Hips and Move)' and 'Fungi Mama'. Throughout his career, he has released over 20 solo projects and collaborated with leading musicians including Bob James, Marcus Miller, and Roy Ayers.
The Brit Funk Association performs material from their member bands' extensive catalogues, drawing from Light of the World, Beggar & Co, Hi-Tension, and Incognito. The performance promises an evening of funk, soul, and R&B classics.
