Billy Bootleggers presents Kavus Torabi, a British-Iranian composer, multi-instrumentalist and performer with a distinctive career spanning psychedelic rock and experimental music. Since 2016, Torabi has fronted legendary band Gong as principal songwriter, whilst maintaining membership in experimental trio The Utopia Strong. His past credits include work with cult band Cardiacs and avant-garde outfit Guapo.

Beyond music, Torabi co-hosts a DJ duo with Steve Davis and co-authored the memoir Medical Grade Music. His commissioned piece 'Lion Of The Lord's Elect' premiered at Roadburn Festival in 2024. He recently contributed as guitarist and co-producer to Cardiacs' 2025 album LSD, reuniting with the band for live performances in 2026. Special guests to be announced.
