We’re excited to host author and YouTube sensation Chris Broad at Waterstones Nottingham as he signs copies of Journey Across Japan, the follow-up to the mega-selling Abroad in Japan. 

From flying a plane over Japan’s most active volcano to exploring perfectly preserved Samurai districts, this guide will encourage readers, whether you’re a Japan neophyte or a seasoned veteran, to carve out your own story in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Chris Broad is a British filmmaker and founder of the Abroad in Japan Youtube channel, one of the largest foreign Youtube channels in Japan with over 2.5 million subscribers and 400 million views.

Over 10 years and 200 videos, Chris has visited all of Japan's 47 prefectures, focussing Abroad in Japan on travel, culture, food and covered contemporary issues through documentaries on the Fukushima nuclear disaster and the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. His experiences have made him a sought after voice on life inside Japan, featured on the BBC, Tedx, NHK and the Japan Times.

Please note that this signing is ticketed. The queue will operate on a first come first served basis. Tickets include one copy of the Abroad in Japan available for collection on the day.

· Each ticket entitles the ticketholder to one copy of the book which will be available for collection on the day.

· The queue will be formed on a first come first served basis, so please come prepared to queue. We will aim to keep you updated on your waiting time.

· You will be required to show your ticket on the day of the event, to gain entry, and as proof of purchase.

·To avoid disappointment, we must stress there will be no opportunity to meet Chris Broad without a ticket.

· Chris will be signing copies of Journey Across Japan only, no merchandise will be signed.

· There will be the opportunity to purchase one extra copy of Journey Across Japan on the day.
