Matthew Bourne's New Adventures presents their 30th Anniversary production of Cinderella, a reimagining of the classic fairytale set in London during the Second World War. This production centres on a wartime romance between Cinderella and a young RAF pilot who meet by chance during the Blitz, only to be separated by the chaos of conflict.
Featuring Prokofiev's magnificent score alongside Olivier Award-winning designs by Lez Brotherston and lighting by Neil Austin, the production combines dance, visual design, and atmospheric sound to transport audiences to wartime London. The staging captures both the intimacy of a fleeting love story and the broader experience of a city under siege, creating a poignant and engaging theatrical experience.
