Li Min Ong, a familiar performer at Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall foyer recitals since 2018, presents an afternoon of Romantic piano works. This University of Nottingham alumna curates a programme spanning from Debussy's impressionistic landscapes through Ravel's reflective suite, into the lyrical territory of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, before concluding with Chopin's Ballade No. 4. The recital moves between intimate miniatures and substantial concert pieces, offering an engaging introduction to the repertoire.
Li Min Ong studied under Paul Roberts in London and currently pursues doctoral research while based in Glasgow. She performs regularly in contemporary and chamber music contexts. Access to the Dress Circle foyer opens from 12:15pm with unreserved seating. The Theatre's Yarn Bar and venue bar both operate during the event.
