The Highly Strung String Quartet, formed by Nottingham cellist Sarah Huson-Whyte, brings a programme of Christmas music to the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall. Comprising conservatoire-trained string players, the group presents an evening of festive arrangements spanning classical pieces, contemporary film scores and seasonal chart hits.
The concert features a curated selection of Christmas favourites, including instrumental renditions of music from popular films such as Home Alone and Love Actually, alongside works by Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé. The programme also incorporates traditional carols and Christmas medleys, with opportunities for audience participation throughout the performance.
