Experience the magic of cinema through live orchestral performance at this special Nottingham edition of BBC Radio 3's Friday Night is Music Night. The BBC Concert Orchestra, led by conductor Karen Ní Bhroin and featuring pianist Clare Hammond, celebrates the musical scores that define cinema masterpieces.
This programme explores iconic film soundtracks from classics including Amadeus, Brief Encounter, Out of Africa and Chocolat, alongside contemporary films such as Up! and Squid Game. The concert features works by Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Bizet and Strauss, performed live within the acoustic excellence of the Royal Concert Hall. Tickets range from £15 to £42.50.
