The Pride Shop

Welcome to The Pride Shop – the UK’s original Pride shop. We are LGBT+ owned and operated and our goal is to provide opportunities for LGBT+ creators, designers and makers to bring you some of the most unique LGBT+ products. With every purchase on THE PRIDE SHOP, you directly support LGBTQ+ people.  A donation from each sale will be made to our Mental Health partner, PrideSpace, which will be used to provide free and low-cost mental health services to LGBTQ+ individuals in the UK.

At THE PRIDE SHOP®, we are dedicated to creating a space that celebrates and supports the LGBTQ+ community. We are part of an independent retailing and publishing company home to brands such as THEGAYUK, The Gay Shop, Big Gay Card Company and Tackle.

Our mission is to provide a diverse and inclusive collection of books, gifts and jewellery that reflect the rich tapestry of LGBTQ+ experiences, stories, and voices. We exist to make sure that your identity is represented and validated.

We’re opening a space in Nottingham city centre. This is our blog to document the journey. You can find the shop at 65 Maid Marian Way, NG1 6AJ.

Transport to our shop

The 34, 50, 77, 78, and 79 buses all stop outside our shop. There is also an underground pay-and-display car park under our store on Spaniel Row.

Our Cafe

Our cafe is now open alongside our retail space. We have a range of cakes and some lunch options also available.

Please be aware that while we offer products made without gluten and dairy, our kitchen handles a variety of ingredients. Due to the shared preparation environment, we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from allergens.

We can hold small-scale groups or meetings. Please visit our bookings page to reserve your space.

Board games and Puzzles

We have an array of board games and puzzles for our guests to play and use whilst with us. If we’ve not got your favourite game why not bring yours in – or if you’d like to donate it for others to use, we’ll happily give it a new home.

Pay It Forward Coffee

We also have a Pay It Forward Scheme where, if you can, you can donate a coffee to someone. On our counter, there is a jar of hearts. If you’d like to donate a coffee simply give one to our staff. They will add an extra coffee to your bill and the heart will go into our Coffee Hearts jar – where anyone can pick up a free coffee if they need it – no questions asked.
