About this event

Thomas Dolby brings his distinctive blend of music and innovation to The Palais on Tuesday 19 May 2026. The English musician, producer, and composer rose to prominence during the 1980s new wave movement, crafting electronic-influenced pop that extended far beyond his commercial hits "She Blinded Me with Science" and "Hyperactive!"

Beyond his recording career, Dolby has shaped technology and music education. He founded Beatnik, a software company whose polyphonic ringtone technology reached over half a billion mobile devices, and served as music director for TED Conferences. Currently, he leads the Music for New Media program at Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Institute, where he has been on faculty since 2014.

This performance includes special guests.
