Ethos
Write Night is a place to explore poetry in a positive, experimental approach. As a group, we do not provide critical feedback without the writers consent. Write Night is a night to develop new work, and whilst we cannot promise to be a safe space, we work to be a brave one. When we write, things we might not expect to come up may arise, there is value in engaging with those things and we Write Night works to provide a space where that can be responsibly explored. Each participant is responsible for their own work and any impact that causes. With that understanding, Write Night does not tolerate disrespect of marginalised traits, including racism, sexism, queer-phobic behaviour, ableism or bullying in general. Anyone the host believes to be intentionally engaging with this behaviour will be removed from the group without a refund and not be welcomed back.

Any issues can be directed to the workshop leader during the session or afterwards by contacting the organiser.
