About this event
Mista Shotta brings decades of experience to The Malt Cross for this live DJ social event. A fixture on the Nottingham music scene since 1992, he curates sets drawing from funk, soul, disco, northern soul, jazz-funk, latin, afrobeat, house and hip-hop. His approach prioritises tracks with genuine soul and funk sensibility across genres.
Over the years, Mista Shotta has been integral to several significant club nights and collectives including Rumpshaker, Tribal Unity and Ghostfoot. His most extended residency was with Fever, where he spent a decade playing percussive jazz-funk, afro-latin and hip-hop sets across various Nottingham venues.
