The Lion has done remarkably well establishing itself as a destination pub for cask ale, craft beer, live music and great food. It’s situated opposite Shipstone Street tram stop and right next door to Black Iris Brewery... so they know a thing or two about beer!
A permanent selection of 10 cask ales dominates the bar but an impressive 7 craft taps, ten traditional ciders and 40 plus bottles and cans compliment what the pub has become famous for. Their food is highly rated and a new menu boasts a selection of tasty burgers, tapas, dirty fries, wraps plus lots of veggie and vegan options!
The Lion is famous for live music and hosts the best of the local music scene every Friday & Saturday nights from 9pm.
