About this event

Maz and the Phantasms bring their psychedelic surf punk sound to The Grove on Sunday 26 April 2026. The Glasgow-based band, led by Catalan-Egyptian artist Maz alongside Jamie Sparkles (guitar), Jude Norton-Smith (bass) and Toby Valentine (drums), crafts a distinctive blend of beach-goth guitars, funky basslines and atmospheric synths with punk energy and theatrical flair.

Emerging from DIY tours and late-night jam sessions, the group delivers live shows marked by raw intensity and creative chaos. Their performances merge rock and roll with queer theatrics, drawing from punk aesthetics and vintage glam influences. Support comes from Rights for Flies and JONK.
