About this event

Matthew C. Whitaker and Shunya present an evening celebrating the release of Whitaker's second solo album, Songs for the Weary. The album features classical guitar, string arrangements, and subtle electronics across eight compositional pieces. Co-produced and arranged with Alan Keary of Shunya, the performance draws from Whitaker's 2016 debut The Man with the Anvil Hat, includes a solo set by Shunya, and presents reworked selections from the HENGE catalogue.
