Flat Moon presents their debut album 'Cookin' Up A Groove' with a UK tour stop in Nottingham. The six-piece collective blends funk and punk influences to create genre-fluid music centred around groove and rhythm. Their live performances combine a distinctive saxophone-guitar pairing with a robust rhythm section, delivering dynamic arrangements and commanding stage presence.
The debut album showcases the band's eclectic approach to composition, merging funk with elements of Latin, psychedelia, progressive rock, afrobeat, hip-hop and jazz. Thematically, the tracks explore escapism through a neurodivergent perspective, addressing topics from insomnia and social anxiety to self-confidence and personal potential. Substandards will provide support for the Nottingham date.
