Filkin's Drift

Filkin's Drift, the collaborative project of Seth Bye and Chris Avery, presents an exploration of Britain's folk heritage through the combination of traditional English dance music and Welsh folk song. Performing in both English and Welsh, the duo draws from a rich cultural tapestry that spans across the British Isles.

Their debut album, Glan, released in 2025, draws inspiration from an 870-mile walking tour of the Wales Coast Path. The recording showcases Bye's fiddle work alongside Avery's finger-picked guitar arrangements. This Nottingham performance marks the duo's first appearance in the city and offers an intimate setting at The Grove, with support from Dan Chapman.
