Chris Brain is a Yorkshire-based folk singer-songwriter whose work draws on the British pastoral tradition, exploring themes of place, memory and emotional depth. His fourth album, Red Sun Rising (2026), presents a collection of acoustic-led songs centred on yearning and the desire for change, crafted through intimate storytelling and restrained melodies.

A regular on BBC Radio 6 Music and the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show, Brain has built an international following through extensive UK and touring, including a sold-out Japanese tour. He returns in 2026 with a full UK and Ireland tour supporting the new album's release.
