About this event
The Femme Fair is an event taking place across Sneinton Market in recognition of International Women's Day. Several venues in the market will play a part in celebrating womanhood and promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of the women of Nottingham/shire.
- Minor Oak will host stalls from several local charities and organisations, including Juno Women's Aid, Notts SVSS, and the Topaz Centre.
- The Grove will present Girl Talk, a series of presentations on women's health, covering topics such as menopause and menstruation.
- By Our Hands We Make Our Way will host educational talks on feminism and women's rights, as well as creative workshops.
- Blend will provide the use of their studio and Blend Square for indoor arts and crafts activities, and an outdoor stage for live entertainment.
- Other venues in the market are showing support in their own unique way; some tenants will be using the event as an opportunity to highlight the contributions that women have made to the shaping and success of their businesses, while other tenants will take part in local campaigns that promote women's safety.
There will be so much to see and do on the day - the event is completely wheelchair and pram accessible, trans inclusive, and free to attend.
