The Jeff Brown Sextet presents 'Phrase and Fable', a programme of original compositions each inspired by traditional sayings and stories. The performance weaves short themes and improvisations together, guiding the audience through diverse jazz styles and musical interpretations.

Trumpeter Jeff Brown, based in London and originally from Derbyshire, brings extensive experience performing at established jazz venues and touring with notable artists including Jools Holland. His work has featured on BBC Radio 1 and BBC television programmes. The sextet comprises Jeff Brown on trumpet, Nadim Teimoori on saxophone, Matt Seddon on trombone, Paul Deats on piano, Martyn Spencer on bass, and Andrew 'Woody' Wood on drums.

Doors open at 7pm with the performance running from 8-10pm, including an interval.
