“The event’s mission is to shine a light on homegrown talent giving them a chance to shine on a stage that feels like home…” – Iulia Teodora Matei, Leftlion
We’re back for another Spotlight event, welcoming early career musicians to the stage! This month, we’re excited to welcome Alt-jazz collective Floral Pattern led by saxophonist and composer Myles Noble and rising newcomer to the Leeds jazz scene, Reece Soko-Fogg and his quartet!
Floral Pattern
Alt-jazz collective based between Derby and Nottingham, led by saxophonist and composer Myles Noble. Blending the raw energy of UK soundsystem culture with the innovation of the contemporary jazz scene, the band crafts euphoric, improvisation-heavy performances that are both psychedelic and rhythmically intense. Expect hard-hitting horn lines, driving Afrobeat-inspired drums, and bold experiments in live electronic processing.
They’ve shared stages with acts like the Neue Grafik Ensemble and Tom McGuire & The Brassholes, and have built a reputation for high-energy sets across Derby, Nottingham, and Sheffield.

Recent and rising newcomer to the Leeds jazz scene, Reece Soko-Fogg is an alto saxophonist walking in the footsteps of the great alto titans that walked before him. Influenced by the great players such as Charlie Parker, Jackie McLean and Cannonball Adderley, Reece attempts to infuse the soundscapes of modal jazz, the energetic music of Be-Bop and the fast and rhythmic beat of his Malawian heritage.
Lineup

Lucas Walters- piano
Jade Serafin- bass
