Peggy's House Band invites jazz enthusiasts to experience "New York State of Tenor," a compelling exploration of the tenor saxophone's pivotal role in 1950s jazz. This era witnessed revolutionary innovations from legendary players including John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Lester Young, and Hank Mobley, who seamlessly blended rhythm and blues, modal, Latin, and gospel influences to define the hard bop subgenre.

Featuring Eliot Richards on saxophone, Paul Deats on piano, Simon Paterson on bass, and Andrew 'Woody' Wood on drums, this ensemble pays tribute to the giants who shaped modern jazz. The performance runs from 8-10pm with an interval, offering an intimate evening of sophisticated musicianship at Peggy's Skylight. Doors open at 7pm.
