King Zepha brings his all-star band to Peggy's Skylight for a performance celebrating the release of his new album, The Return Of King Zepha. The Nottingham show features original compositions alongside a reworking of the Sammy Davis Jr. classic "I'm A Brass Band".
Led by vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and composer Sam Thornton, King Zepha's music draws influence from jazz, blues, soul, mambo, ska, rocksteady, reggae and dub. The band includes Will Osborne on trombone, Chris Lloyd on keyboards, Adam Richards on double bass and Will Blankley on drums. Together they have performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair and Freedom Sounds Festival.
