Having toured extensively for several years playing to sold-out houses around the UK, Hugh Pascall and his acclaimed quartet come to Peggy’s celebrating the release of his latest album Viewfinder.

An award-winning trumpeter and composer, Hugh studied at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Paris Conservatoire, graduating with a 1st class BMus in Jazz and LRAM diploma. In February 2023 he was elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) by the Academy’s honours committee, in recognition of a significant contribution to UK jazz.
In 2022 his quartet completed a 20 date tour of the UK for his debut album Borderlands, to critical acclaim. They also embarked on two further tours in 2023 and 2024, selling out the Pizza Express Jazz Club as well as many other significant UK venues. As a featured sideman he’s performed and recorded with a huge variety of artists, playing at festivals and jazz venues across the country and throughout Europe. Recent projects include recording with New York guitarist Peter Bernstein as a member of the acclaimed David Ferris Septet and performing in Europe with The Last Poets.
