Folkroom Presents Katie Spencer on Sunday 8 March 2026 at Peggy's Skylight. Doors open at 6pm with the performance commencing at 7pm, featuring two sets with an interval. Katie Spencer is an accomplished guitarist and singer-songwriter whose distinctive style blends folk and jazz influences. Her third album 'What Love Is' showcases intricately crafted songs with assured guitar work and lyrically mature songwriting, drawing inspiration from artists including Joni Mitchell and Michael Chapman.
Spencer's approach spans jazz-tinged soundscapes and folk-baroque fingerpicking, delivered with a powerful yet warm vocal presence. She is supported by Satnam Galsian, a British Asian singer-songwriter from Leeds whose progressive folk music combines Punjabi folk traditions with contemporary feminist storytelling.
