About this event
Essence Of Django brings gypsy jazz and swing to Peggy's Skylight on Sunday 11th January 2026. Dining begins at 1pm, with the performance running from 2pm to 4pm including an interval.
Drawing inspiration from Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli of the Quintette du Hot Club de France, this ensemble showcases accomplished regional musicians performing fiery solos, rhythmic arrangements, burning ballads and Latin-influenced pieces. The group honours the spirit of these jazz pioneers whilst exploring contemporary directions within the gypsy jazz genre.
The lineup features Lewis Kilvington on guitar, Elliott Lewis on guitar, and John Coulson on double bass.
