Electric Gumbo brings together jazz, funk, and electronic influences in a dynamic live performance. Led by bassist and composer Simon Paterson, the group features vocalist Rachel Foster, trombonist Magnus Hawker-French, multi-instrumentalist Thom Whitworth, alongside Paul Deats on electric piano and synths, and drummer Stevie Smith. The ensemble delivers a programme of groove-based compositions with layered horn arrangements and contemporary production.
This performance takes place at Peggy's Skylight on Wednesday 22 July 2026, with doors opening at 7pm and the show running from 8pm to 10pm, including an interval. The group has already received attention on Jazz FM and released their debut single 'It's On!' which will be available on vinyl, CD, and streaming platforms.
