The Edgar Macías Quintet presents their interpretation of the landmark Buena Vista Social Club album on Saturday 18 July at Peggy's Skylight. This acclaimed 1996 recording has been reimagined for Latin Jazz Quintet, with every track carefully rearranged to showcase the ensemble's musicianship. The group features Chris Bowden on alto saxophone and hand percussion, Edgar Macías on piano and vocals, Tom Hill on bass and vocals, Miles Levin on drums, and Néstor Pedrales on congas, bongó and vocals.
Two fully-seated performances are available: the first show begins at 6:45pm (doors 6pm) and the second at 9:15pm (doors 8:30pm). Both performances run 75 minutes without interval. Tickets act as table reservations, and a full dining menu is available for both seatings.
