Bryan Corbett’s Instrumental Groove Unit [Jazz/Groove]

Renowned Birmingham-based trumpeter and flugelhorn player Bryan Corbett returns to Peggy's Skylight with his Instrumental Groove Unit. Drawing on an extensive career as a session musician with artists including The Brand New Heavies, Us3, and the BBC Concert Orchestra, Corbett brings considerable musical expertise to this project.

The Instrumental Groove Unit explores original material with an emphasis on groove and improvisational freedom. Corbett describes the venture as an opportunity to approach his musical ideas from a different perspective. Alongside Luke Harris, Paul Deats, and Wayne Matthews, the ensemble promises an engaging evening of jazz and funk-influenced instrumental music. Doors open at 7pm with performance running from 8pm to 10pm, including an interval.
