Assunta and Lou After School Art Club

Assunta and Lou After School Art Club welcomes children aged 3–11 years and their parents or guardians for an afternoon of creative exploration. This session combines digital and traditional art techniques, with participants layering drawing, painting, and collage over digital prints. Assunta and Lou, an artist mother and daughter duo, will guide attendees through their collaborative methods in a relaxed, supportive environment.

The club uses a range of art materials including watercolour, gouache, pastels, crayons, and marker pens. Participants are encouraged to dress for mess as they work together on a colourful blanket. Six spaces are available, with each child requiring a parent or carer to be present throughout the session. This event is supported by Arts Council England through National Lottery funding and the University of Lincoln Quality Research Fund.
