Mansfield Town Film Festival 2026

About this event

The Mansfield Town Film Festival (MTFF) is a British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) qualifying festival, and an annual cultural showcase held at the Mansfield Palace Theatre. It was founded in 2023 by Festival Director Jay Martin with the core goal of championing working-class voices, underrepresented filmmakers, and regional East Midlands talent. It's now officially recognized as a qualifying festival for British Shorts at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA).  The festival includes live screenings, an in-person awards night, masterclasses, Q&A sessions, industry talks and networking panels. Screenings offer a diverse mix of international and domestic short films, documentaries, animations, music videos, experimental work, new VR shorts, and local spotlights.
