This exhibition explores the prehistoric occupation of the Trent Valley and the material traces these ancient communities left behind.
See the results from years of archaeological and palaeoenvironmental investigations into one of our most important river systems, highlighting how early settlements were both shaped by and altered this dynamic landscape.
By studying artefacts alongside the natural environment, we can better understand how the people of this valley lived, how the fragile remains of their lives have been preserved, and ensure their future survival.
