Institute of Mental Health ADHD SENCO Training Programme

The Institute of Mental Health's Centre for ADHD and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Across the Lifespan (CANDAL) is offering a ADHD SENCO Training Programme on 17 March 2027. This in-person workshop is designed for Special Education Needs Co-ordinators and uses a 'train the trainer' approach to build school-wide ADHD awareness.

Delivered by academic professionals and facilitators with lived experience, the programme covers evidence-based research, ADHD identification in classroom settings, and local Nottingham care pathways for student referrals. Participants receive a workbook and resources to support training colleagues within their schools. The day includes a networking lunch and brings together experts including Dr Blandine French, Dr Charlotte Hall, Professor Maddie Groom, and Dr Abby Russell.
