Her creative projects span animatronic dinosaurs to carbon-negative technologies, demonstrating her versatility across diverse engineering disciplines. Her work encompasses robotics, space technology, environmental innovation, and educational outreach.
Lucy has become a prominent voice in science communication with the aim of making engineering accessible to broader audiences. She founded initiatives including ISSWave, connecting people worldwide to wave at astronauts aboard the International Space Station, and the Guild of Makers, to encourage people to make and innovate products with their hands.
