This hands-on workshop invites young participants to design and construct a moving robot using recycled materials and electronic circuits, drawing inspiration from The Wild Robot. Led by STEM specialists LEBC, children will learn the fundamentals of building a simple electronic circuit whilst gaining practical experience in engineering and design principles.
Participants aged 7-11 can take home the junk material components of their creation, whilst the library retains the batteries, motors, and electronic components. Adult supervision is required, with guardians remaining on-site throughout the session. Children require tickets; adults do not.
